The honeycomb screen was designed by White Rhino to prevent unwanted particulates from getting getting past the bowl. This reduces ashes and burnt herb from dirtying your water and lungs. 

The stainless steel honeycomb screens are made to fit universally almost all bowls. These screens are made from stainless steel which has a very high melting point (2,642°F) meaning you are well-protected from pollutants as compared to traditional brass screens.
