Collection: Dry Herb Vaporizers
Dry Herb Vaporizers are here to stay! The history of these vaporizers goes back to the 90's with the Volcano Vaporizer by Storz and Bickel first popularizing the method.
The idea behind these devices grew from the notion that perhaps, vaporizing instead of combusting is a more efficient way to enjoy weed. And they were correct! When combustion occurs, terpenes and cannabinoids are destroyed in the process resulting in a poorer taste and reduced high. Not only that but solid particles and other toxins are released upon burning which isn't great for ones health. Vaping on the other hand, releases the true potential of your cannabis. Providing you with the purest taste of your flavor and getting you higher with less.
There are 2 ways the process of vaporization is achieved, convection and conduction. We'll keep it short and sweet. Conduction vaporizers work by applying heat to an object your flower is in contact with, transferring the heat. Convection vaporizers work by using a stream of hot air to flow through the flower, thus vaporizing it. When shopping dry herb vaporizers for sale, you'll notice most options available on the market use conduction.
You also have two styles of dry herb vaporizers to choose from, the desktop vaporizer and the portable vaporizer (dry herb vape pen). Luckily, there are some pretty clear distinctions between the two that will make your decision on what dry herb vaporizer to buy easy. First we have the desktop vaporizer, also called a tabletop vaporizer. As the name suggests it is big and not ideal to take from place to place, but it is not big for no reason. These units have a large amount of power, allowing for advanced and precise mechanisms when it comes to heating. All desktop vaporizers use convection heating which is much more friendly for long sessions with plenty of draws. The ability of these desktop vaporizers to provide precise temperatures and immaculate heat retention really puts it in a class of its own. A must have for any dry herb enthusiast.
Now onto the portable dry herb vaporizer, or the dry herb vape pen, where convenience is king. With its ability to vaporize dry herb anywhere easily and a lower price point, its no wonder the portable dry herb vape is taking off. Sure they aren't at the level of a desktop vaporizer, but they are getting close. And they fit in your pocket! Most of these devices rely on conduction heating as while convection is better at controlling temps, it is harder to pull off than conduction. They are as stealthy as you can be when consuming dry herb, the reduced smell and reduced vapor makes it easy to pull out real quick and have a session without leaving a trace!
